Dashbhuja Ganesh Temple, Hedvi, Guhagar, Ratnagiri
Dashbhuja Laxmi Ganesh Temple is situated at Hedvi village of Guhagar taluka in Ratnagiri. During the Peshwa era, Shree Kelkar Swami built this temple with the help of the Peshwas and established this idol. The reconstruction of the temple took place in 1956 (Shake 1877) on the initiative of Shri Shivram Govind alias Kakasaheb Jogalekar. This idol has ten arms with ten weapons. Siddhalakshmi, one of the Ashtasiddhis, is seated on the left thigh. There is an amrit kalash in the trunk and this idol as the name suggests is shown with one tooth.
Dashbhuja Ganpati Temple is at a distance of 3 kms from Hedvi Beach and 7 Kms from Velneshwar Beach. Surrounding is very calm and serene. Maghi Ganesh Utsav is celebrated for 3 days starting from Magh Shuddha Chaturthi to Magh Shuddha Shashti.
