Bombadeshwar Temple, Math Budruk, Malvan, Sindhudrug

Bombadeshwar Temple is situated at Math Budruk village of Malvan taluka in Sindhudurg. There are two kunds built with stone in front of this konkani style kaularu temple. Some holes are placed in the middle wall to keep the water level in both these kunds. Right side kund has springs. Sometimes, there are bubbles in the water of this kund. The vibrations of words uttered in a loud voice create these bubbles. Bombade means bubbles in Malvani language. From the miracle of bubbles in this kund, this temple got its name as Bombadeshwar.

Math budruk village is situated at a distance of 33 kms from Malvan. Villagers believe that Bombadeshwar Temple is 350-400 years old. The temple has an ancient idol of Nandi in front of the Shiva Pindi. Tripurari Poornima, Mahashivratri, Navratri festival, Holi festival are celebrated in Bombadeshwar Temple. There is a stone dipmal in front of the temple.
