Kedarling Temple, Vervali Budruk, Lanja, Ratnagiri

Kedarling Temple is situated at Vervali Budruk village of Lanja taluka in Ratnagiri. Dev Kedarling is presiding deity of Veravali Budruk. Many Shiva temples have a Shiva Linga. But the village where Shankar Mahadev is the village deity has an idol of Shankar. The idols carved in black stone of Ninai Devi, Vithalai Devi, Brahmdev, Kedarling, Pavnai, Laxmi, Navlai Devi and Bharadi Devi are in the innermost part of the temple.

In 1963, there is a record that then government gave 2 acres of land for this temple. It is 150 years old temple. The earlier kaularu temple was of wooden construction. When it was restored in 1990, temple was built of stone. On January 15, 2015, it was decided to reconstruct a grand temple. After a year, the construction of the temple started and within 4 years, the grand temple became a reality. The temple is two storied and It has a grand hall. The beautiful moment of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj taking the oath to establish Swaraj can be seen after entering the temple.
