Lingana Fort, Mahad, Raigad

Lingana Fort is one of the best fort for trekking in Maharashtra. This fort is located at Mahad taluka of Raigad district. Lingana Fort is a massive pinnacle located amidst Sahyadri mountains between Raigad and Torna. Lingana peak is elevated at a height of 2969 feet high with an ascent of four miles, the first half is easy to climb while the second is difficult.

You need plenty of energy and mind power to complete this trek and you better go with professionals. It was used as prison in Shivaji Maharaj age. There is one cave at 400 meters which worked as a prison cell.
