Swami Samarth Math is situated at Hadpid village of Devgad taluka in Sindhudurg, Maharashtra India. Shree Swami Samarth Math of Hadpid is a divine place situated on Devgad Nipani State Highway. Swami Samarth is the fourth incarnation of Dattatreya. This Math is a sacred pilgrimage centre for the swamibhakt. It is located at a distance of 23 kms from Pokharbav Ganpati Temple and 30 kms from Devgad city. Swami Samarth Prakat Din is celebrated on Chaitra Shuddha Dwitiya every year in Hadpid Math. Devotees from different parts of the Maharashtra participate in this Utsav in large numbers.

Tukaram Krishna Pednekar was a devotee of Shree Swami Samarth. He used to serve people out of Swami Bhakti. So there was a devotional atmosphere in his house. His son Nandkumar Pednekar thought of having a Swami Samarth Math in Devgad with the aim of continuing his father’s work. The dream of Swami Samarth Math came true with the able support of Prabhakar Dhaku Rane, Nitin Mhapsekar, Maruti Jangam, Nitin Parab, Kamlesh Rasam and under the guidance of Vinay Kantak, Trustee of Swami Samarth Math, Vileparle.

On the way from Devgad to Nandgaon, this is the monastery of Swami Samarth at Hadpid along the main road. The Math has four domes and idols of Rama, Lakshmana, Sita and Hanuman are under the dome at the main door of the Math. As you enter in the math, there is an idol of Ganpati on the right side under the second dome and an idol of Tuljabhavani on the left. Math has a grand sabhamandap. Under the main dome of the Math, there is an idol of Swami Samarth on a marble platform and in front of the idol are his padukas.

Swami Samarth Prakat Din, Guru Poornima, Tripurari Poornima and Datta Jayanti are celebrated in the Math. All these festivals are celebrated according to the Hindu calendar.

The manifestation day of Swami Samarth is on Chaitra Shuddha Dwitiya while Swami Samarth’s Punyatithi is on Chaitra Vadya Trayodashi. On these days, devotees throng for darshan of Swami and worship him.

Swami Samarth Math opens at 7 AM in morning and closes at 9 PM in night. Math is also closed between 1 PM and 2:30 PM.

Having darshan of Swami Samarth at this Math in Hadpid, one gets to know the importance of Swami. Everyone should visit such a holy place at least once and have darshan of Swami.
