Velas Beach, Mandangad

   Velas Beach is situated at Velas village in Mandangad taluka of Ratnagiri district. For many years Olive Ridley breed species of turtle come to lay eggs on this shore. These eggs are properly protected by villagers. And then Velas beach celebrates the Velas turtle festival in Maharashtra. Mostly visit this place in Feb to March to see the beautiful olive Ridley turtle hatch from their eggs.
